Silverlake Sessions started with a simple idea: that the
best music happens in small rooms, between strangers
who leave as friends.
HOW WE GOT HERE
2013
The first session
A small gathering in Hollywood Los Angeles. The sessions didn’t have a name - they were just a gathering of friends. Word quickly spread, entirely by word of mouth.
2015
The sessions moved to Silverlake, Los Angeles
Demand grew beyond word of mouth. The lottery system launched to keep things intimate and fair.
2016
We outgrew the smaller venues and needed bigger spaces
We started collaborating with venues all around Los Angeles so we could accommodate our growing community.
2018
Our first festival
People started traveling from far away to attend Silverlake Sessions.
We decided to host our first festival-style show in Ojai, CA.
2020
The world paused
Our last shows before the world paused. Jaden relocated to Scotland.
We took a hiatus but stayed connected to our growing network of artists.
2022
Silverlake went global
Sessions launched in Scotland, opening doors to an incredible network of UK and EU artists — bringing the Silverlake community across the Atlantic.
2026
The next chapter
New shows, new cities, new collaborations. We're on hiatus until late 2026,
but our best sessions are still ahead.
OUR MISSION
Music is all about connection.
At Silverlake Sessions, we believe that music is all about connection. We pride ourselves on creating a safe and supportive environment for artists to share their stories and talents, and for audiences to experience music in a whole new way.
Each session is a unique opportunity to connect with others, forge new friendships, and discover incredible talent from all over the world — from Los Angeles to Edinburgh and beyond.
Regardless of which show you attend, you can plan on having fun and feeling an immediate sense of community. We look forward to having you join us and to making memories together!
WHAT TO EXPECT
3-hour experience
Each event is split into a 1.5-hour social hour followed by a 1.5-hour live music performance.
Lottery entry
Guests are chosen at random. Add yourself to the list — your invite may come any time.
LA & beyond
We curate events throughout the year in Los Angeles, Edinburgh, and around the world.
Food & drink
Some events are BYOB, others have complimentary food & drinks. Always noted in your invite.

We don't announce the lineup beforehand. We believe in fun surprises and a willingness to just show up and dive into the unknown.

Jaden LaRue
Jaden created Silverlake Sessions from a belief that
music is most powerful when it's intimate. As a
singer-songwriter rooted in Los Angeles and now based in Scotland, she wanted to build something that brought people together around artists who deserved to be heard. What started on the eastside of LA has grown into a community that stretches across continents.
